I have externalized creative ideas through all kinds of materials as a self proclaimed artist, but have struggled to find one that stuck. On my never ending quest to find the most fitting creative practice and purpose, silver smithing was naturally my next pursuit.

When the task of teaching myself the art of metal smithing no longer seemed too far out there, I commited. After months of practice, I had made a few things I loved - And others did too. I realized people wanted to wear what I was creating and that's when I began selling my work.

Sur Girl came to fruition in early 2026 with the launch of our website. Naturally, my sister Gwyn, joined in and together we are behind every aspect of Sur Girl. From beachcombing for shells to navigating the nuances of running a small business. We are building a lifestyle brand that embodies our core values.

Growing up on California's Central Coast has been a major source of inspiration for our designs; Guiding our creative expression and provoking our desire to share a piece of ourselves with you.

It is our greatest desire to design and produce intentional, high quality jewelry, that passes the vibe check. Honoring the coastline that raised us through Sur Girl has been so fulfilling.
